National Jet Systems is a subsidiary of the Qantas Group that operates a fleet of Boeing 717 aircraft as part of QantasLink.
Altara Resources together in partnership with National Jet Systems are seeking enthusiastic, mature and responsible individuals in the role of full time Cabin Crew in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Hobart.
Being cabin crew working for Altara within National Jet Systems is an exciting and demanding career. The cabin crew are the front line of the company and are highly regarded by travellers from around the world.

Candidates

Minimum Requirements:

  • Over 18 years of age
  • Be between 163-183cm in height
  • Ability to reach 212cm in height above head with both hands (without shoes) and an arm span width of 127cm.
  • Experienced in a customer service environment
  • Physically fit with a good attendance record in your current position
  • An Australian Citizen or hold Permanent Residency Status with the right to remain in Australia indefinitely
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
  • Prepared to work unsociable hours, any day of the year, at any time including weekends
  • Ready to meet the challenge of dealing with people and demanding situations
  • Able to work under pressure and coordinate multiple time sensitive issues

And in possession of or willing to obtain at your own cost prior to commencing employment:

  • Current Senior first Aid Certificate with 12 months validity
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
  • Valid passport, with a minimum of 12 months validity
  • Successful completion of the nominated ground school training and assessment program.
  • Willing to complete a Water Competency Assessment

  • A mature outlook
  • A sense of humour
  • A willingness to lean and work hard
  • The ability to perform cabin safety functions, including identifying safety matters, taking action to address safety matters and co-operating with other crew to reduce the risk of injury to passengers and National Jet Systems employees
  • The ability to maintain skills, knowledge and physical ability to perform all emergency procedures
  • The ability to consistently display professional standards of behaviour and personal presentation

Recruitment Process

Once all four stages of the recruitment process have been successfully completed only then will employment be offered.

Note: The Ground School Training and Assessment Program is the last stage of the assessment process and as such no wage will be paid for the duration of the Ground School Training and Assessment Program. A graduation bonus of $1,200 is paid to candidates upon successful completion of the Ground School Training and Assessment Program.
